Hernando & Pasco

ApeShot Productions in Spring Hill films your shoot day and cuts it into vertical reels and ad videos, each one made for a specific customer.

The Question

A reel package should tell you what each piece is for.

Across Hernando and Pasco, most owners in Spring Hill, Brooksville and Land O’ Lakes come to ApeShot Productions with the same folder: a few phone clips of a crew, a truck or a finished job, and a feeling that they should be posting video on Facebook and Instagram. The folder is not the problem. The problem is that nobody decided who each clip was for before it was filmed.

A professional shoot day fixes that at the front. We walk the site, decide which pieces the day needs to produce, and film with those pieces in mind. Then we cut the footage into vertical reels, ad versions and, when it makes sense, one longer film. This page shows how that works on two jobs, so you can judge any reel package, ours included, by what comes out the other end.

If you want the posting and page management that happens after the cuts are done, that lives on our social media management page. This page is about the shoot and the edit.

What A Shoot Day Becomes

What one day turns into.

01One reel per attraction or serviceReels+

If you sell five different things, you get five different reels, not one blended video where nothing gets enough screen time. Each reel is short, vertical, and ends on the same ending screen with your name so people remember the name.

02Different versions for different customersAds+

The same day of footage can be cut into separate vertical ad videos, each aimed at a different audience, with different shots left in and left out. The camera work does not change. The edit does.

03A version for your ad and a version for your pageAds+

A reel made to be posted on your page and a vertical video made to run as a Facebook ad are not always the same file. We plan both before the shoot so the footage covers each. Running and managing the ads is a separate service.

04A long cut next to the short onesLong film+

When a job calls for it, the same shoot gives you a wide film for your website and a vertical cut for the feed. One crew, one day, two shapes.

05Captions and sound built for the feedCaptions+

Most people watch with the sound off, so every vertical piece is cut to read with captions and still land with sound on. Music is commercially licensed.

06A plan before we filmPlan+

A short list of pieces, who each one is for, and where each one ends, written before we film.

Real Work · A Pasco County Rental Company and Florida Garage Door Pros

Two shoots, cut into sets.

A party rental company in Pasco County. We shot their attractions and cut five reels, one per attraction, all vertical and all ending on the same ending screen with your name. A later shoot became a second round of five reels.

From footage like that we also cut three vertical ad videos for Facebook, each cut for a different audience. The attractions are the same each time. What changes is which shots stay in, because different audiences want to see different things.

Florida Garage Door Pros, Commercial Way in Spring Hill. One install shoot became a hurricane-rated door ad, shown below, plus a vertical reel cut from the same footage. A second shoot became a services film plus a vertical services reel. The long films suit a website and a YouTube page. The vertical reels suit the feed. The full story is on our garage door video page.

The vertical cutdowns are shown on the planning call.

Tell us what you do and who needs to see it, and we will tell you which pieces we would cut from one shoot day.

How It Works

From one day to a set of pieces.

01We list the pieces first

On the call we ask what you sell, who buys it, and where those people watch. From that we write a short list of reels, ad cuts and any long film, and decide which audience each one is for.

02We shoot with the list in hand

The crew films with the cuts in mind: vertical framing, clean starts and finishes, and the extra angles an audience version needs. You do not need to perform. Your trucks, your equipment and your crew carry most of it.

03We cut each piece for its audience

Every reel and ad version is built on its own, not resized from another. Each one gets captions, licensed music and the same ending screen with your name so the set looks like one brand.

04You review and hand off

You see the cuts, tell us what to change, and we finalize them. Posting and page management can stay with you or move to our social media team.

Common Questions

Reels and short-form video, answered.

How many reels can one shoot day turn into?
One shoot of five attractions becomes five reels, one per attraction, and a second shoot can add another round. The final count is set on the planning call, because it depends on how many things you sell and how many audiences you serve. For a Pasco County party rental company, one shoot became five reels and a later shoot became five more.
Do I have to be on camera?
No, you do not have to be on camera. Your crew, trucks, doors and equipment can carry a reel, as the garage door films on this page show. If you want to say a line or two, we will help you with it on the day.
Can the same footage run as a post and as a Facebook ad?
Yes, the same shoot can supply both, but they are usually different cuts. A post can be loose and quick, while an ad needs a clear audience and a clear ending. We plan both before filming. Placing and managing the ads is a separate service.
Can you cut different versions of the same shoot for different customers?
Yes. For a Pasco County party rental company we cut three vertical ad videos from the same kind of footage, each cut for a different audience, with the shots left in or out changing each time. A garage door company could do the same for homeowners versus builders.
What should I have ready on shoot day?
Have the work clean, staged and running, and have the people who do it on site. Decide ahead of time which items or jobs matter most and which ones you do not want shown. Check weather and site access for the day, since both affect what we can film.
Which platforms are the reels cut for, and do they need captions?
Reels are cut vertical for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube Shorts, and yes, they carry captions. Most viewers scroll with the sound off, so each piece has to read without it. Music in our videos is commercially licensed.
What should I ask any video company about a reel package?
Ask what each piece is for, who it is cut for, where it ends and who is on camera. A good answer is specific for each piece. If the answer is only a number of videos, you are buying volume instead of a plan.
How is short-form video priced?
It is quoted after the planning call, once we know how many reels and audiences you need. The call is free and 30 minutes, and you leave with a list of the pieces we would cut from one shoot day.
